Ernest O. Pabody, 79, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jamestown, New York on July 16, 1934 to George N. and Dorothy J. Pabody. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1953-1957.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nancy Pabody; sons, Douglas (Jo Ann) Pabody of Loveland, OH, Bradley (Eileen) Pabody of Gettysburg, PA, and Gregory (Kristine) Pabody of Drexel Hill, PA; daughters, Cynthia (John) Crable of Moorestown, NJ and Teresa (Carl) Thompson of Wrightstown, NJ. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren-his pride and joy. Also surviving is his sister, Katherine Whitaker of San Ramon, CA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Loren D. Pabody and George A. Pabody.
A memorial service is planned for a later date in New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations in his memory to be given to Colonial Hills Baptist Church Bus Fund or St. Vincent Hospice, both in Indianapolis.
